The Artist acknowledges that they understand the waiver described in this document. The Artist is aware that this is a release of Liability and they sign it of my own free will.

The undersigned parent or natural guardian does hereby represent that he/she is, in fact, acting in such capacity, has consented to his/her child or ward’s submission of artwork, and has agreed individually and on behalf of the child or ward, to the terms of the Release set forth above. The undersigned parent or guardian further agrees to save and hold harmless and indemnify each and all the parties referred to above from all liability, loss, cost, claim, or damage whatsoever which may be imposed upon said parties because of any defect in or lack of such capacity to so act and release said parties on behalf of the minor and the parents or legal guardian.

The Artist hereby grants the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System and/or Friends of the Wekiva River (FOWR) the royalty-free and non-exclusive right to distribute, publish and use the artwork(s) submitted herewith (“the Work”) to promote the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System. The Artist hereby acknowledges that the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System shall bear no responsibility whatsoever for protecting the Work against third party infringement of my copyright interest or other intellectual property rights or other rights the Artist may hold in such Work, and in no way shall be responsible for any losses the Artist may suffer as a result of any such infringement; and the Artist hereby represents and warrants that the Work does not infringe the rights of any other individual or entity. The Artist hereby unconditionally releases, hold harmless and indemnifies Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System, its employees, volunteers, and representatives of and from all claims, liabilities and losses arising out of or in connection with the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System’s use of the Work. The Artist has read and understands the terms of this release. The Artist, warrants and represents that they are the sole legal owner of all right, title and interest in all Artwork and have the full right and authority to enter this Agreement and grant the rights granted in this Agreement. The Artist agrees that the artwork will be printed on promotional materials which will be offered for a donation and/or distributed by FOWR indefinitely. Uses may include, but are not limited to, promotion of the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System, its publications, employees, volunteers, and properties in any way, including on the Internet, in print publications, as distributed to the media, and in commercial products.
The Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System reserves the right to use/not use any Work as deemed appropriate by the Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System. No Work will be returned once submitted. This release and indemnification shall be binding upon me, and my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns. All artwork submitted (including components) must be original and created by the artist. If it is later determined that the artwork is not completely original and violates copyright, the artist is liable for legal costs incurred by Wekiva Wild & Scenic River System.
Once submitted, the artwork is the property of Wekiva Wild & Scenic River System and can be used in perpetuity. The artist waives proof rights and notification of use.
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these Contest Rules and Procedures, the Terms and Conditions on Use of Images, and the decisions of the Sponsor and judges, which are final and binding on all matters. This Contest is void where prohibited and is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.
