2020 Artwork Competition

Calling All Artists! Does the Wekiva River inspire your artistic side?  Then put your creativity to work and submit your masterpiece to Wekiva Wild & Scenic River System 2020 Artwork Competition!

Important Details:

Entry Deadline:  May 31, 2020
Medium: All mediums are encouraged!
Entry Fee: A donation of $15 per entry, to be used to support Wekiva Wild & Scenic River System’s projects and programs
Prizes: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be awarded a cash prize (prize amounts TBD based on number of entries received.)
Judging: Three representatives from volunteer organizations who support the Wekiva River System, including Friends of the Wekiva (FOWR).  Winners will be notified on June 15, 2020.

Competition Themes:

The winning artwork will showcase any of the five Outstandingly Remarkable Values (ORV’s):

  • Scenic
  • Recreation
  • Habitat & Wildlife
  • Historic & Cultural
  • Water Quality & Quantity

Your artwork could be chosen for Wekiva Wild & Scenic t-shirts, stickers and showcased at 20th Anniversary Events in October 2020!

Submission Requirements:

  • All artwork submitted must be original and must be submitted in high-resolution TIFF, JPEG, PDF format (minimum 300 DPI resolution) digital form.
  • The person submitting must own the rights to the artwork.
  • The Wekiva Wild & Scenic Art Contest is open to both amateurs and professional artists.
  • There is a $15 donation fee to be used to support Wekiva Wild and Scenic River System projects & programs.

Submission Instructions:

  • Click “Submit” to submit your entry form.
  • Next you’ll be taken automatically to the WWSR Paypal to make your $15 entry fee donation.
  • On the Paypal donation screen, please add this note:  Artwork Competition Submission
  • Make your $15 donation & you’re officially entered!
